Traveler Experiences With Us
Real stories from travelers who experienced Africa's wild beauty with Motrails Adventures from unforgettable game drives to seamless, personalized service every step of the way.
01
Our safari with Motrails Adventures exceeded every expectation. From the moment we landed in Nairobi to our final game drive in the Masai Mara, everything was seamless. Our guide knew exactly where to find the Big Five, and the whole trip felt personal rather than like a typical tour package. We can't wait to book our next adventure with them.

I've been on safaris before, but nothing compares to the experience Motrails Adventures put together for us. Watching the sunrise over the Serengeti with wildebeest as far as the eye could see was unforgettable. The team handled every detail transport, accommodation, meals so all we had to do was enjoy the moment.

Safari Questions, Answered
Have a question that is not here? Message us on WhatsApp and we will answer personally.
When is the best time to go on safari?
Kenya and Tanzania offer good wildlife viewing all year. The long dry season, roughly June to October, is the most popular time, and the Great Migration usually reaches the Maasai Mara from around July. From about December to March the herds gather to give birth in the southern Serengeti around Ndutu. April and May bring the long rains, with fewer visitors, green landscapes and lower prices. Tell us your dates and we will suggest the best places for that time of year.
What documents do I need to enter Kenya?
You need a passport valid for at least six months and an approved Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA), which you apply for online at etakenya.go.ke before you travel. Since October 2026, most foreign visitors must also hold Kenya’s mandatory inbound travel health insurance, which is handled as part of the eTA application. Tanzania and Zanzibar have their own entry and insurance rules. Because these requirements change, we send you the current rules for your exact route together with your itinerary.
Do I need vaccinations?
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if you are arriving from, or have transited through, a country with a risk of yellow fever. Malaria is present in many safari areas, so speak to a travel health clinic about anti-malaria tablets and recommended vaccines at least six weeks before you travel.
What is included in the price?
Every tour page lists exactly what is included and excluded. Our safaris typically include park entry fees, accommodation, the meals listed, transport in a safari vehicle with a professional driver-guide, and airport transfers. International flights, travel insurance, your eTA, tips and personal expenses are not included.
Can I combine a safari with the beach or another country?
Yes. Many guests pair a Kenya or Tanzania safari with a few days on Zanzibar, or add gorilla trekking in Uganda. We plan the connections between each stop so the whole trip runs smoothly.
Is a safari suitable for first-timers and families?
Yes. We plan the pace, driving times and lodges around you, so first-time travellers, couples and families all feel comfortable. Some lodges and activities have minimum ages, so tell us who is travelling and we will suggest suitable options.
How do I book?
Send us an enquiry or a WhatsApp message with your dates and ideas. We reply with a tailored itinerary and price, refine it with you, and confirm everything once you are happy.
