Itinerary

Early morning – Nairobi National Park. Pickup at around 6:00 a.m. for a game drive in Nairobi National Park, Kenya’s oldest national park, just outside the city. Early morning is the best time to see lions, black and white rhinos, buffalo, giraffes and zebras, with the Nairobi skyline in the background. 11:00 a.m. – Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The elephant orphanage opens to visitors for one hour a day, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., when the keepers bring the baby elephants out for their milk feed and mud bath and explain how each orphan was rescued. Lunch at a local restaurant (cost not included). Afternoon – Giraffe Centre. Hand-feed endangered Rothschild’s giraffes from a raised platform and learn about the centre’s conservation work. We then drop you at your hotel or the airport in the late afternoon.
