Itinerary
Following an early breakfast, you'll embark on a full-day game drive to Tarangire National Park. Bring along a picnic lunch for the journey. This park is renowned for its scenes of herds, sometimes up to 300 elephants, maneuvering through the parched riverbeds in search of alternative water sources.
Additionally, nomadic wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, hartebeests, and elands gather around the diminishing lagoons. Notably, the park becomes a sanctuary for migrants during the dry season and a hospitable haven for elephants. For the evening, you'll enjoy dinner and stay overnight at Eileen's Trees Inn Lodge.
Main Destination:
Tarangire National Park
After enjoying your morning meal, you'll depart the lodge at 8:30 am, heading towards Lake Manyara National Park with a packed hot lunch. A full day of game drives awaits. After this adventure, you'll proceed to Eileen's Trees Inn for dinner and overnight accommodations.
Extending for 50 kilometers along the base of the striking 600-meter-high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara stands as a picturesque treasure.
The condensed wildlife-viewing route within Lake Manyara provides a condensed version of the Tanzanian safari experience. Beginning at the entrance gate, the road winds through a flourishing forest of groundwater vegetation, where sizeable troops of baboons relax casually by the roadside, nimble blue monkeys dart between ancient mahogany trees, delicate bushbucks tread cautiously through the shadows, and large forest hornbills create a lively cacophony in the lofty canopy.
After your morning meal, you will proceed to Serengeti National Park for a comprehensive day of game drives, which includes a picnic lunch.
Within this park, you will witness the remarkable spectacle of a million wildebeest, each driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling their instinctual roles within the inescapable cycle of life. They engage in their frenzied three-week cycle of territorial conquests and mating, a testament to the survival of the fittest.
This intense ritual leads them to navigate through crocodile-infested waters in 40km (25 miles) long columns during their annual northern migration. Following a brief surge in population that sees over 8,000 calves born daily, the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins anew.
You will wake up early in the morning for a game drive within Serengeti National Park. Keep an eye out for the diverse wildlife, including wildebeests, lions, elephants, leopards, impalas, gazelles, and cheetahs.
With luck, you might even witness the incredible wildebeest migration. Afterward, you'll enjoy brunch and prepare to depart. Your journey continues towards Ngorongoro, with a game drive en route while traveling from Serengeti to Ngorongoro.
You'll arrive at Ngorongoro late in the evening and spend the night on the crater rim. Your dinner and overnight accommodations await you at Ngorongoro Angata Tented Lodge.
You'll begin your day with an early breakfast, then head straight to the crater floor for a 6-hour expedition of wildlife observation. Within the crater's confines, you'll have the chance to spot the magnificent Big Five animals: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and perhaps even black rhinoceros.
You'll enjoy your picnic lunches at Ngoitoktok spring within the crater, where you can also witness other prominent mammals such as hippopotami, giraffes, warthogs, baboons, and a variety of birds.
After approximately 6 hours, you'll ascend the crater rim and set out for Arusha. Your journey will feature an en-route game drive, including a pass through the Mto wa Mbu village.
By evening, you'll arrive at your hotel in Arusha town. As your tour concludes, we'll ensure you reach the airport in time for your departure.
